This document is an update of a 1996 literature review developed for facilitating the development of measures to assess the quality of kinship care by summarizing previous research on issues related to the selection and evaluation of caregivers, intervening factors, and outcomes. The authors hope to assist policy makers and child welfare agencies that deal with issues related to kinship care. (Funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.)
